We are pleased to provide our students with safe, reliable transportation to and from school each day. Bus riding is a privilege, and we expect all students to adhere to the rules for their safety as well as for the safety of others. Back to TopWhat is PowerSchool and how do I get a username and password to use it?
PowerSchool is one of the ways we keep communication between home and school strong. It provides you with almost real-time access to your child’s grades, attendance history, and other important information. Sign in here, or call our office to get your login information.
Back to TopWhat do I need to do if my child will be absent from school?
Regular attendance and promptness are vital to student success. Frequent absences result in poor achievement, even if a student is conscientious about making up work. If your child must miss school, please call the school office on the day of his/her absence. For information about attendance requirements and what qualifies as an excused absence, please refer to our student handbook.
Back to TopWhat if my child needs to leave school early?
When a scholar must be excused from school for a doctor's appointment, funeral, or doctor or dentist appointment, please provide a written note or call our office.
Back to TopDo you require uniforms?
Yes. We believe that uniform wearing contributes to overall orderliness and helps to create an equitable learning environment. Our Uniform page provides all the details.
Back to TopWhat is the cell phone/mobile device policy?
We do not permit cell phone use during school hours unless authorized by a school leader. Devices must remain inside the scholar’s backpack and in either silent mode or powered off. Rocky Mount Prep is not responsible for damaged, lost, or stolen devices.
Back to TopDo scholars have access to the internet while on campus?
We encourage the use of technology for instruction and learning. Scholars have access to the school’s network for homework and school-related research. We closely monitor computer activity. All activity and communication can be monitored and a record permanently stored. We expect our scholars to behave responsibly according to our Technology Use Policy.
