Application Process

Applications will open on Saturday, March 16, 2024.
Complete the online application during the application window. Application deadline is April 19, 2024.

Lottery Date: Wednesday, May 1, 2024
Applicants are selected at random for admission. View the anonymous applicant/lottery results after May 1, 2024. Any applicants not selected for admission will be placed on our waitlist.

Notifications Sent: Thursday, May 2, 2024
Families that applied during the lottery were notified via email of selection or waitlist. Selected students may begin the registration process. We will notify families applying after the lottery date via email of selection or waitlist.
Registration
Once an applicant has accepted admission, please complete and submit the following documentation:
- Birth certificate - used to verify the scholar’s age.
- Registration form - used to record basic information about the scholar and family, including home, work, and emergency telephone numbers.
- Child Nutrition form - application to determine the eligibility of families to receive free and reduced-price meals.
- Medical forms - includes immunization schedules, family medical information, medical history (including allergies), and the Medication Permission form.
- Immunization records - North Carolina law requires all children in the state to receive certain immunizations. Visit the NC Department of Public Health website for a list of required vaccines.
- Records release form - permits RMP to obtain all records about a scholar from their previous school.
- Home language survey - informs us of the primary language spoken in scholars’ homes.
- North Carolina Health Assessment Form - required for all kindergarten scholars or any scholar transferring from another state.
